Abilify's mechanism of action is not fully understood even within mainstream pharmacology. Abilify and Normen specifically inhibit the growth of beneficial gut bacteria. Abilify side effects include weight gain, GI symptoms, sleeplessness, dizziness, vomiting, and movement disorders. Abilify's compulsive behavioral side effects — gambling, binge eating, sexual compulsions — suggest deep disruption to dopamine regulation pathways.
