Acupuncture Meridians

Acupuncture is described as an ancient healing art based on a meridian system. A meridian is described as a skin-based channel of information through which chi or energy flows. A scar crossing a meridian may stop, scatter, or disperse information traveling through that channel. Acupuncture points are presented as capable of influencing distant organs through information flow. Scar interference with meridian information flow may make regulation less smooth and less finely tuned.
