Many HIV clinics maintained treatment access for newly diagnosed people during the first pandemic year. Flexible delivery models may improve long-term efficiency and resilience beyond the pandemic. Same-day ART initiation expansion in related IeDEA work may have reduced loss to follow-up during pandemic disruptions. Possible stabilising adaptations included streamlined ART initiation, multimonth dispensing, community-based delivery, telehealth, extended visit intervals, and differentiated service delivery.
