Not-on-track participants are randomised to motivational interviewing prompts, taking a break, learning an alternative module, or no additional intervention. The study omits a traditional comparator because its aim is to optimise adaptive intervention strategies across stages. In CQ3, response at week 26 is defined as a PHQ-8 score of 4 or lower. CQ3 tests second-line interventions for both responders and non-responders at week 26. CQ2 evaluates support strategies for participants who show early signs of poor response.
