Claims data reduce non-response and recall bias because they are routinely collected clinical records. Claims-based psychiatric prevalence estimates are highly sensitive to case definition. Claims data are vulnerable to misclassification, incomplete outpatient coding, and difficulty separating active from past diagnoses. Fetal dose will be estimated using typical CT dose levels in South Korea combined with gestational age and maternal anthropometrics. Claims data provide limited information on environmental exposures, lifestyle, and behaviour. Claims data can underestimate true mental health prevalence because conditions without healthcare utilisation are absent. GePaRD contains demographic data, dispensations, services, diagnoses, and vaccination records. The study used nationwide statutory health insurance claims data from DAK-Gesundheit in Germany for 2016 to 2020. Outpatient diagnoses use ICD-10-GM coding, and vaccinations are identified through German Uniform Assessment Standard billing codes.
