Age-Related Adoption

Participation depended on communication, scheduling, and patient engagement even though the intervention was not simply a patient-facing digital app. The authors interpreted younger participant age as consistent with prior evidence that age can hinder adoption of digital healthcare innovations. Improving participation will require strategies that specifically address older patients. Because explicit refusal was low, improving administrative execution may have more impact than persuading patients who reject the concept.
