Habitual physical activity is suggested to be especially important for older cancer survivors. In cancer survivors under 65 years, lower physical activity groups did not have significantly higher or lower risk of mortality or LTCI certification. In survivors aged 75 or older, having both intentional exercise and daily walking appears more important than having only one of the two habits. Among survivors aged 65–74, no physical activity was associated with substantially higher risk, with an adjusted HR of 1.72. In survivors aged 75 or older, both lower physical activity categories — exercise or walking alone, and no activity — were associated with higher risk.
