Intergenerational practice is identified as an effective approach for reducing prejudice, stereotypes, and ageism. Ageism in older adults was assessed with the Everyday Ageism Scale. Around half of the global population is estimated to have experienced ageism. Ageism can contribute to negative self-perceptions of ageing, discrimination, stereotypes, poorer health, and increased healthcare costs. The programme targeted ageism alongside inactivity and loneliness.
