Allometric Consumer-Resource Modeling

The model omits several sources of biological and ecological complexity, including age structure, stochasticity, spatial heterogeneity, and demographic rebound. The model is intentionally low-dimensional and focuses on first-order energetic constraints rather than species-specific predictions. Vital rates in the model are derived from allometric energetics. The study models a plant resource growing logistically and a mammalian herbivore consumer population consuming that resource.
