Anchor Performance Measurement

Trust performance across anchor domains was mixed, and strength in one domain did not necessarily predict strength in another. Routine NHS data can quantify aspects of anchor activity and reveal meaningful variation within a health system. No single benchmark currently defines a high-performing NHS anchor institution. The analysis did not capture the full scope of anchor activity. A national benchmarking study using consistent indicators could identify variation by trust type and size and support performance thresholds.
