The ANIMA intervention uses a Telegram chatbot that sends a standardized daily questionnaire on seven bronchiectasis-relevant symptoms. ANIMA sends questionnaire responses in real time to an Odoo dashboard for scoring against each patient’s baseline. ANIMA was developed at UNICAMP between 2022 and 2024 through a multidisciplinary digital health initiative. ANIMA is a mobile health application for remote symptom monitoring in adults with non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis. ANIMA is intended to improve quality of life and health literacy while supporting scalable monitoring in Brazil’s Unified Health System.
