Appendicitis

Once the appendix is blocked, the sealed space becomes a breeding ground for infection. Appendicitis can be caused by blockage from a parasite, a hardened stone, or chronic inflammation driven by poor diet. Significant pain when pressing over the appendix region is a strong clinical indicator of appendicitis. Early appendicitis pain begins suddenly roughly two inches to the right of the bellybutton. Early appendicitis presents with nausea, bowel changes, bellybutton pain, and low-grade fever.
