Autonomous Learning

Students showed early adoption of a continuous professional development mindset. Students used the simulation to identify weaknesses and recognise ownership of their learning. Self-directed learning can improve academic performance and clinical skills when students are empowered to direct their learning. High-fidelity simulations helped students move from theory to practical application and promoted learner autonomy. Debriefing was viewed as preparation for future professional practice after qualification.
