Bile Duct Issues

Bile sludge is an underreported condition with limited mainstream medical coverage despite being quite common. Excessively thick bile forms sludge that creates pressure throughout the ducting system, which can radiate upward as chest pain. The bile duct network runs through the liver, connects to the gallbladder, drains into the small intestine, and connects with the pancreatic ducts. Bile salts, particularly TUDCA (Tauroursodeoxycholic acid), are the primary remedy for thick or sludgy bile. Pressing firmly under the right ribcage and getting immediate pain relief strongly indicates a bile duct cause.
