Variable adherence to International Society of Biomechanics recommendations limited comparability across studies. Prosthetic components, socket-mounted markers, and residual limb segment definitions can strongly influence motion estimates. Future instrumented studies should report technical details such as marker strategy, coordinate systems, rotation sequence, filtering, gait events, and symmetry metrics.
