Brachial Plexus Block

Continuous brachial plexus catheterisation improves analgesia duration and effectiveness. Single-injection brachial plexus blocks are limited by short local anesthetic duration and possible rebound pain. Continuous catheter analgesia has limitations including displacement, nerve susceptibility, infection risk, and high operator-skill requirements. Brachial plexus block is described as the gold-standard analgesic strategy for open elbow arthrolysis.
