Chocolate contains theobromine, a stimulant related to theophylline and caffeine. Bronchodilators contain theophylline, a compound structurally similar to caffeine. Taking a bronchodilator alongside caffeine or theobromine-containing foods can cause arrhythmias and seizures from combined stimulant overload.
