Participants generally recognized palliative care need despite not always using services. The study participants had an average age of 47.2 years. Carcinoma was the most commonly diagnosed cancer type among participants. Stage IV cancer was common, with 42.1% of participants diagnosed at the most advanced stage. About two-thirds of participants were male and lived in rural areas.
