Capacity-Building Programmes

IS capacity-building programmes are structured initiatives designed to enhance knowledge, skills, and networks in implementation practice or research. Most existing reviews of IS capacity-building programmes have focused on outcomes rather than development processes. Reporting on how IS capacity-building programmes are built is inconsistent. Capacity-building programmes may include mentoring, curriculum-based learning, and networking components. The review will identify capacity-building programme methodologies and whether competency frameworks guided programme design. The synthesis will summarize programme methodologies, content, and intended learning outcomes.
