Ceiling Fan

Watching or being near a fan whose blades pass at a theta-range rhythm may feel calming or relaxing. A ceiling fan creates a rhythmic visual stimulus as each blade passes through the field of view. A five-bladed fan rotating at approximately one full revolution per second produces a blade-pass frequency of about 5 Hz.
