Chickens supplemented with freeze-dried insects produce eggs with a fat profile that shifts toward lower omega-6 and more balanced omega-3. Feed composition matters more than organic certification in isolation when evaluating egg quality. Organic certification alone is not sufficient — organic eggs can still come from chickens fed high-omega-6 grain. GMO crops are heavily sprayed with glyphosate, meaning chicken feed contains chemical residue. The vast majority of commercially raised chickens are fed corn and soy, almost always in GMO form.
