Cisplatin

The mapping between cisplatin dose and model stress C is not assumed to be linear. The model stress variable C represents cisplatin or another stressor, with C = 20 scaled to 20 uM cisplatin in the main fitted experiments. In an average cell exposed to C = 20, autophagy activated early and caspases activated at 18 hours. In cisplatin nephrotoxicity, the framework emphasizes that autophagy may protect normal kidney cells, so inhibiting autophagy could worsen normal-tissue injury. The model suggests extending apoptosis measurements to 24 hours and beyond under high cisplatin stress to test predicted eventual apoptotic commitment.
