HRV was the most common virus among children in both Mianyang and Bazhong. Among children, Mianyang had significantly higher adenovirus and SARS-CoV-2 detection rates than Bazhong. Among adolescents, infection patterns differed significantly across Chengdu, Mianyang, and Bazhong, especially for influenza A, influenza B, and adenovirus. Bazhong had the highest adolescent single infection rate among the three cities. Co-infection types varied geographically among children and adolescents.
