LNG-IUS produced a greater reduction in spotting days than HNR at 6 months. Thirteen of the fifteen studies reported significant improvement in depressive symptoms. Valve intervention was associated with higher survival and fewer adverse cardiovascular outcomes. Higher exercise treatment belief and lower baseline anxiety and depression were associated with greater disability reductions. The central clinical question is whether an 8-week combined electrotherapy and cervical exercise programme reduces disability and pain. The mean ODI improvement was 6.20 points, at the lower end of the debated MCID range. HbA1c fell by 0.97 percentage points at 6 months, a change that would usually be clinically significant.
