Expanding clinical pharmacy content is argued to be insufficient without a parallel increase in demand for clinical pharmacists and available hospital roles. Clinical pharmacy content in Pakistan's curriculum is currently restricted to the 9th and 10th semesters and should be introduced earlier. Experts recommended integrating basic medical sciences with pharmacy practice to bridge the gap between pharmacology teaching and clinical application. Experts called for strong emphasis on ward rounds, OSCEs, and simulation-based learning in clinical pharmacy training. Recommended additions to clinical pharmacy include pharmacogenomics, evidence-based medicine, medication review, and integration of pharmaceutical care with clinical cases.
