Opportunity referred to circumstances that made appropriate antipsychotic use possible or difficult. Motivation referred to reasons guiding staff actions around requesting, prescribing, avoiding, or supporting antipsychotic use. Capability referred to staff thought processes and knowledge about appropriate antipsychotic use. The programme uses the COM-B model as its theoretical framework for behaviour change. The COM-B model holds that capability, opportunity, and motivation must be present together for durable behaviour change. Energy2MOB uses COM-B to sustain participant engagement during obesity management.
