The review was meant to support future working groups rather than determine final instrument adoption. A prior COM-IC stage identified 17 stakeholder-important core outcomes for dementia care. The rapid review was conducted to identify existing validated or recommended scales for those 17 core outcomes. The COM-IC project aims to develop a core outcome set for measuring routine dementia care quality in home care and residential aged care facilities.
