Ascaris larvae can migrate to the lungs and cause symptoms resembling pneumonia or bronchitis. Pinworm infection is most prevalent in school-age children but can occur at any age. Toxoplasmosis is most commonly contracted from undercooked meat or cat feces exposure. Hookworm infection can occur when larvae penetrate skin through barefoot contact with contaminated soil.
