Previous reviews show that stewardship, regulatory controls, diagnostics, education, and WASH improvements can reduce antibiotic consumption or AMR-related risks. The planned review will examine community-based strategies aimed at reducing AMR or inappropriate antibiotic use. Core intervention types include education, awareness campaigns, stewardship programmes, regulatory measures, WASH-linked strategies, and other public health strategies. Expected outcomes include antibiotic use practices, knowledge and attitudes, AMR-related behaviours, and AMR indicators. The review will focus on strategies implemented outside hospitals in community settings.
