Controls were selected from participants who were GALS-negative and matched by age and gender. The analysed sample included 594 respondents, including 153 confirmed cases and 441 matched controls. The study used a two-stage cluster sampling strategy to select a representative community sample. The statistical analysis compared utility scores between REMS-positive participants and matched controls using a generalized linear model. The research used a community-based cross-sectional survey in 15 villages in Hai District between January and September 2021.
