Large RCTs including GAP70+ and GAIN have demonstrated that GA-guided management reduces treatment-related toxicities without compromising treatment efficacy. Geriatric assessment instruments in MAPLE2 are validated and aligned with ASCO guidelines and Japan Clinical Oncology Group geriatric research policy. Geriatric assessment is a multidimensional, interdisciplinary evaluation that identifies ageing-related vulnerabilities and informs individualised management strategies.
