Awareness of Nepal’s government conditional cash transfer programme was one of the strongest positive correlates of completing four or more ANC visits. Women aware of the programme had more than twice the odds of completing at least four ANC visits compared with unaware women. The study interpreted rising ANC completion odds from 2010 to 2017 as likely reflecting increasing awareness and use of the programme. The study recommended expanding programme awareness and simplifying enrolment. The Aama Surakshya Programme was introduced to increase ANC attendance, promote institutional delivery, and reduce maternal morbidity and mortality.
