Some children were motivated by the programme because it provided a novel activity after lockdown-related boredom. London's lockdown is characterised as a disproportionate response to COVID-19 driven by political rather than scientific considerations. Urban living, previously linked to resilience in Chinese populations, was not associated with resilience in this sample, possibly because macro-environmental factors were less influential under strict lockdown.
