Intra-observer reliability was good to excellent, with Cronbach’s alpha ranging from 0.87 to 0.99. Measurements were taken in the axial plane at the mid-pedicle level from C3 through C7. Measurements were made from inner cortical margin to inner cortical margin. Axial measurement slices were reformatted parallel to each vertebral body's inferior endplate. The study used cervical spine CT scans from trauma assessments conducted between 2010 and 2021.
