Cumulative Incidence

The framework extends surrogate-index and data-fusion methods to survival endpoints with right-censoring and competing risks. With right-censoring, the weighting formula uses inverse probability of censoring weights. The target includes cumulative disease incidence that would have been observed for an investigational vaccine in the target population. Task III estimates cause-specific cumulative incidence curves and overall cumulative incidence when multiple serotypes co-circulate. Time-to-clinical-endpoint outcomes remain common primary endpoints in vaccine trials.
