All Danish residents are assigned a unique 10-digit CPR number that links records across registries, enabling nationwide cohort construction without sampling. Registry data enable comparison of survey responders and non-responders across demographic, socioeconomic, and clinical variables to evaluate non-response bias. Incident AF is defined using a 29-year wash-out period, based on ICD-10 introduction in Denmark in 1994.
