Data Extraction and Synthesis

Extracted information will summarize system characteristics and compare data collection methods across world regions. Conclusions will compare PSAC countries with one another and with other African LMICs and Portuguese-speaking nations, framed around disease profiles and alignment with public health priorities. Quantitative data will be summarised descriptively using frequencies and percentages for categorical variables, and medians with interquartile ranges for continuous variables. Personnel data will include deployed personnel, cadre, qualification, and remuneration. The review will extract publication characteristics, service characteristics, personnel details, funding and costs, and whether services targeted inequity-affected populations. The review will present quantitative findings with diagrams, tables, graphs, and maps, along with written summaries tied to the research objectives. Service delivery data will include location, visit recurrence, transport mode, service type, and targeted eye conditions.
