Dengue Vaccination

Vaccination is presented as a supplementary rather than primary dengue management tool. TV005 and mRNA dengue vaccine candidates are still under development. Pre-vaccination antibody screening was introduced in several countries to reduce severe dengue risk in people without prior exposure. Dengvaxia was used cautiously because it poses risks for seronegative individuals. Access, financing, and large-scale rollout of dengue vaccines remain constrained, especially in low- and middle-income countries. TAK-003 received WHO endorsement for programmatic use under defined conditions.
