The website will be accessible through the institute's Wireless Local Area Network, with unique credentials generated for each participant to support data security and anonymisation. The decision aid will be web-based and developed in collaboration with an IT company experienced in clinical digital technologies. To mitigate digital access barriers, older patients' feedback will receive particular attention and developers will implement a simplified layout or consultation guide if navigation problems arise. The study is single-centre and conducted at the European Institute of Oncology, which may limit its generalisability to other Italian or international oncology centres. The web-based format may create digital literacy barriers for older oncology patients, who may struggle with online resources or prefer paper-based information.
