Diuresis

Bosentan administered over an extended period prevents the body's natural diuresis response at altitude. High altitude induces a natural diuresis characterized by increased urination and fluid loss. If fluid intake does not keep pace with altitude-induced diuresis, dehydration and worsened AMS symptoms result.
