The proportion of MDR/XDR-TB in Kenya is relatively low at 7.1% in 2023, limiting the number of drug-resistance-attributable treatment failures that can be studied separately. Drug susceptibility results are documented and may be used as covariates in exploratory analyses, but the primary analysis is not stratified by resistance status. Drug-resistant and drug-susceptible TB are managed according to routine clinical practice and Kenya national guidelines; the study does not influence treatment decisions.
