Dry brushing is said to enhance capillary-level lymph movement and support nervous system regulation. The stiff-bristled brush provides stronger mechanical stimulation than hands alone. Dry brushing is recommended as a complementary lymphatic technique two to three times per week. Dry brushing should be performed on bare skin, preferably before showering. After brushing, shaking and bouncing is recommended to encourage continued lymph movement.
