Dual Targeted Therapy

Dual BRAF and MEK inhibition improves response rates, delays resistance, and reduces toxicity compared with BRAF inhibition alone. Dual targeted therapy combines BRAF and MEK inhibition in the MAPK/ERK signalling cascade. Dual targeted therapy adverse events most often affect the skin and also include fever and gastrointestinal symptoms. Approved dual targeted therapy combinations include encorafenib plus binimetinib, vemurafenib plus cobimetinib, and dabrafenib plus trametinib.
