Electrolyte Absorption

Electrolytes are absorbed most efficiently in an appropriately acidic gut environment. Artificially alkaline water disrupts the gut environment and compromises electrolyte absorption. The heart is the organ most sensitive to electrolyte balance, and dysregulation can impair cardiac function and rhythm.
