Electron Pairing

Most atoms are composed of three subatomic particles: electrons, protons, and neutrons. Most atoms have paired electrons under normal conditions, which allows molecules to function in a stable, symmetrical manner. An unpaired electron imbalance causes a molecule to become reactive, analogous to a spinning disk weighted on only one side.
