There are no restrictions on participant demographics or geography, but records must be in English or already translated into English. The English-language restriction may bias the review toward Western cultures and limit conclusions about non-Western adaptations. The review will include adults aged 18 or older with medical illness, psychiatric illness, or psychosocial distress. Eligible populations may include people with terminal illness, end-of-life concerns, loneliness, homelessness, trauma exposure, chronic pain, metastatic cancer, grief, marginalisation, or other chronic stress states.
