Enhanced Recreational Therapy

The control condition excludes musical instruction. ERT is an active control designed to match CCT on non-specific therapeutic factors. The control arm matches the music groups on social elements, including post-session socialisation. ERT sessions match the CCT schedule and group size. ERT fidelity monitoring checks that it does not drift toward CCT-like content. The active control arm uses weekly film viewing followed by semi-structured group discussion. ERT does not teach cognitive strategies.
