Epigenetic Signatures

Epigenetic signatures are molecular fingerprints of environmental exposures. It remains unresolved how epigenetic signatures vary among populations. Epigenetic modifications change DNA methylation and histone modification patterns without altering the DNA sequence. Epigenetic signatures can be measured and may identify environmental factors associated with early-onset colorectal cancer.
