Equity Frameworks

Data extraction will be guided by the PROGRESS-Plus equity framework to capture structural and social dimensions relevant to health equity. PROGRESS-Plus categories will be analysed as interacting categories rather than independent or additive variables. The review will code whether studies use intersectionality as a theoretical paradigm, analytical framework, or analytic method. The English-language restriction is a limitation because it may over-represent research from English-speaking contexts and under-represent other groups and health systems.
