Evolutionary Model

The deterministic PDE approach can detect small parameter effects but produces unrealistically fast transitions. The study uses a deterministic two-sex age-structured partial differential equation model. Offspring inherit averaged parental trait values with mutation. The model tracks eligible grandmothers through lineage-dependent density, increasing computational cost.
